Ageof Empires II: Age of Kings not working on Windows 10. My Age of Empires II disk isn't working. The installer still runs, but the game does not. I've tried taking the disk out and putting it back in, uninstalling and reinstalling, and the game still won't launch. This thread is locked.
SoI'm one of those who still uses the CD's, and I've been able to play Age of Empires II and Conquerors perfectly fine on my Windows 8 HP laptop. It was until recently that it won't launch past pressing "Play" on the startup menu. I can hear my fan running when the CD is in, and then after I press "Play" the fan just cools down and eventually
